Cablecast plays a wide variety of Codecs and file formats and performs up, down and cross conversion for both HD and SD files. 480i, 720p, 1080i, 1080p, are all supported, as are the occasional odd files. MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H.264, ProRes, DVCPro and DVCPro HD, are all natively supported.
