Closed Caption Editor

Fix caption spelling, timing, and placement right in Cablecast, free for everyone in 7.7.

The Cablecast Caption Editor lets you refine captions directly in the Text Tracks UI, without exporting to another application. Open a program, scrub through it, and adjust captions so they read clearly for your viewers.

  • Correct spelling and fix timing so captions stay in sync
  • Reposition text with a nine-box grid to keep it clear of lower-thirds and on-screen graphics
  • Search and replace repeated errors in one pass, with case-sensitive, whole-word, and replace-all options
  • Edit any sidecar file on your server, including files from third-party captioning services

As of Cablecast 7.7 the editor is included free for everyone, whether or not you hold a captioning license.
