Our story
The Cablecast story.
We build the easiest-to-use broadcast automation software and video servers, crafted for the public, educational and government access organizations serving thousands of local channels across the country.
Our roots
Built in community media, since 1997.
Cablecast was founded in 1997 and pioneered web-centric digital broadcast automation. Our mission has never changed: let understaffed stations do more with less by handling the routine work automatically, so their teams can focus on serving the community.
Most of our team came to us from community media centers around the country, and many stay active in their local stations. Today the platform powers over 1,000 U.S. stations, hosting, automating and distributing programming across cable, web and OTT with automation, streaming, captioning, branding, meeting management, bulletin boards and VOD portals.
