Automated Multi-Language Translation

Reach more of your community with automated captions in dozens of languages, right from Cablecast.

Cablecast Translate adds automated multi-language translation in the Cablecast web interface, so your station can serve viewers who speak languages other than English. It delivers real-time translations for cable broadcasts in seven languages and on-demand translations in over 70 languages for web, OTT, and mobile.

  • Set a primary and secondary language per channel to output dual 608 caption tracks over cable and your live streams, with unlimited caption languages on VOD
  • Protect proper nouns with Do Not Translate, so a council member named Ralph White never becomes Ralph Blanco, word by word or across a whole vocabulary

Translate runs on Cablecast VIO and Flex (v7.7 and later), alongside your existing captioning or Cablecast Closed Captioning.

The stream shows a municipal council meeting with council members seated at a large semicircular table and an audience seated in rows. The video includes Spanish closed captions, demonstrating Cablecast Translate's real-time captioning capabilities. The interface displays navigation options, including menus for live streams, embedded codes, and logs, with a green header reading "YourTown TV" at the top.
